The CPF is a regular meeting of local party members to debate and discuss what policies we would like to see implemented at local and national level.
We are sent frequent discussion documents by the national Conservative Policy Forum team and our members meet to contribute their thoughts. Members' ideas are then fed back to the relevant government minister who offers a formal response to the proposals.
Issues we have discussed at recent CPF meetings include: education and skills for the 21st century; the environment and animal welfare; foreign policy after Brexit; and Conservative values in the 21st century.
The CPF also meets ahead of local elections to allow party members to contribute to the Sunderland Conservatives' Local Election Manifesto.
If you have any queries about the CPF, please contact James Doyle who is our new CPF Chair at [email protected].
