Local councillors attended the official Proclamation ceremony of His Majesty King Charles III this afternoon, after the deeply sad death of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II last Thursday. In the ceremony today we declared our loyalty to the new King and paid our respects to our late Queen.
If members of the public would like to pay their respects to our late sovereign there are several Books of Condolence in the Winter Gardens and City Hall that can be signed. he bandstand in Mowbray Park has also been designated as the location of flower tributes where residents can lay flowers in tribute.
