Conservative councillors and candidates are supporting their communities through the Coronavirus pandemic.
We have established Coronavirus Community Support Schemes across the city, which we have funded ourselves, to provide those in need with support.
These schemes are not designed to give medical advice, but to support elderly and vulnerable residents with
- Grocery shopping
- Collecting prescriptions
- Dog walking
- Tackling loneliness
We currently have four schemes set up across Sunderland. These schemes have collectively recruited hundreds of volunteers across the city who stand ready to support those in need.
SUNDERLAND NORTH
Fulwell, Seaburn and South Bents coordinated by Michael Hartnack and James Doyle
Roker and Monkwearmouth coordinated by Jack Simm and Josh McKeith
SUNDERLAND SOUTH
High Barnes, Plains Farm, Humbledon, Springwell and Ashbrooke coordinated by Richard Dunn and Antony Mullen
Herrington, Farringdon and Lakeside Village coordinated by Chris Burnicle and Dominic McDonough
All of our schemes are being guided by the professional advice and expertise of Simon Ayre, a Nurse Practitioner with many years' experience working in the public sector.
If you or someone you know needs support in one of the areas we cover, please email [email protected] with details.
