Update on former Sainsbury's Site
A statement from Cllr Michael Hartnack on the future of the former Sainsbury's site.
" The odds are shortening folks and the long awaited news about the former Sainsbury’s on Station Road, and following your Conservative Councillors’ long campaign to protect the retail nature of the building, I can reveal that a further planning application has been made for signage to be installed to one of the units and guess what?
"The application is being made by Sainsbury’s.
"I think we can now safely assume that any announcement over the forthcoming days is going to be by Sainsbury’s and I am delighted as I know other residents and retailers on Sea Road will be equally relieved that we are about to have a reasonable sized supermarket again servicing out area."
