Local campaigner Sam Cosgrove and member of Blackfell Community Hub phil, have been successful in petitioning Persimmon Homes to live up to their obligation to maintain the land they own in Blackfell.
The area was abandoned by Persimmon Homes and a complete lack of support to address the issue from Washington West Labour Councillors Harry Trueman, Dorothy Trueman and Jimmy Warne, prompted Sam to take matters into her own hands.
Residents, frustrated by a lack of action by Persimmon Homes and local councillors described it as a victory. Sam is raising the increase in vermin, believed to have been nesting in the overgrown area, with the land
