Restoring Fulwell War Memorial
Residents of Fulwell, Seaburn and South Bents will have hopefully noticed that the local war memorial on Chichester Road has been cleaned up recently. Hedges have been removed and the area has seen continuous work to make it more inviting. Cllr Michael Hartnack has been working with the Friends of Fulwell closely to secure these works, with the team now looking to secure funding for paving works and design works, to give Fulwell a fitting memorial garden.
Commenting Michael said:
"As we all know, our local war memorial has seen better days which is why we have been working to improve the memorial garden. We have been fighting to secure funding for environmental improvements and pavements works so that we can continue to make improvements to our local war memorial."
